9 children burnt to death in Bihar

Amitabh Ojha, Patna: Shocking news has come from Bihar. Here 9 children have died tragically due to a couple of massive fires. These fire incidents have taken place at two places in the state. 

These incidents have occurred in Araria and Bhagalpur district. According to the police, a fire broke out in ward number 6 of Kavaiya village in Araria district, in which 6 children have died. 

The other incident took place in Parashurampur village in Bhagalpur district. Three children have died here.

It is being said that in Kavaiya village of Araria district, on Tuesday afternoon, dry fodder of cattle caught fire and several innocent children were engulfed in this fire. The family reached the spot after hearing the screams of the children, but by then it was late. The age of the dead is said to be between 2 to 5 years. 

According to the police station in-charge Ejaz Hafeez, the deceased have been identified as Afshar (5), Gulnaz (2), Dilabar (4), Barkas (3), Ali Hasan (4) and Khushneha (3).

The other incident is from Parashurampur village in Bhagalpur district. Here three children died due to fire. It is being said that during cooking late at night, a fire broke out in the house in which three children were burnt to death. 

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the incident over the tragic death of 9 children in two separate incidents. He has given an ex-gratia grant of Rs. 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased children.
