New Delhi: The central government has increased the house rent allowance after increasing the dearness allowance for central employees. While the DA has been raised to 28% by the central government, the HRA has been raised to 27%.

Meanwhile, another piece of good news for central employees is that their pay will be increased beginning in August. Previously, there were talks of raising pay in September. The salary for August will also include previous increases in DA, DR, and HRA. That is, the salary of central employees of August will come with a double bonus.

Dearness Allowance increased from 17 to 28 percent

It is worth noting that the Modi government has lifted the moratorium on dearness allowance, which has been frozen for the last 18 months. Not only this, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased by 11 percent. The government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. In fact, in view of the Corona epidemic, the government had stopped three additional installments of DA and DR of central employees. These installments were due from January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021. The government has made it clear that no arrears will be paid for the period from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The rate of DA/DR for this period will remain the same at 17 per cent.

Increase in DA and DR has been implemented since July

Under the 7th Pay Commission, now all central government employees and pensioners will be paid DA / DR at the rate of 28 percent. Also, the government has made it clear that this increase will be applicable from July 1, 2021 i.e. this month. The payment will be made in the month of September based on the new slab. In September salary, DA will be paid at the rate of 28 per cent, while arrears for two months (July, August) will also be given.

Apart from Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA) also increased

Let us tell you that after increasing the DA, the central government has also increased the house rent allowance given to the central employees. The government has increased the HRA to 27 percent. After the dearness allowance, now due to the increase in the house rent allowance, the central employees have become bat-bats. The HRA has been increased by 1-3 per cent for different categories. According to the order of the Ministry of Finance, now central employees will get 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent house rent allowance according to their city. At present, it is 24 per cent, 16 per cent and 8 per cent for all three classes.

Salary will increase by adding DA and HRA

According to the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix, the employees whose minimum basic salary is Rs 18,000. Which also includes basic pay, deductions and allowances. He was getting DA of Rs 3060 till June 2021 at the rate of 17 per cent on the basic salary of 18,000. Now from July 2021, he will get dearness allowance of Rs 5040 every month at the rate of 28 percent. That is, now every month (5040-3060=1980) 1980 rupees more will come in their account. Accordingly, the pension of the pensioners will also be decided. Employees can calculate according to their basic pension, how much salary will increase after increasing DA. That is, the DA hike will be at least Rs 5040 and the minimum house rent allowance hike will be Rs 1800 every month. That is, there will be an increase of Rs 6840 (5040 + 1800) in the salary coming in August.
